Carcassonne

My second weekend in France my host parents took me to the only intact medieval city in Europe. There was a castle and town protected by a huge wall. It was absolutely beautiful. Reminded me of the computer game called Age of Empires that my dad, brother, and I liked to play. So much history was there to be discovered. It can't really be described but maybe these pictures will give you an idea of the sheer awe I had at visiting it.

My First Friend

This is Lindsay. She was my first friend in France. She is from Chicago and is also on an exchange. We met on the flight from St. Paul to Paris and sat together on the flight to Toulouse. We have connected in a way only two exchange students could. We share our experiences with our host family, school, and any other situations that arise. She lives on the east side of Toulouse while I live on the west. Every Wednesday is a short day and we both finish at noon. We meet up each Wednesday and grab lunch. Afterwards we walk around town and enjoy all the wonderful things there.
